Whether you’re exploring coaching as a recovery tool for yourself or seeking information for a loved one, this page is designed to provide clarity and support. Dive into the FAQs below to discover more about Coaching Recovery and how it can be a transformative ally on your path to healing and growth.
Do I have to already be in treatment?
No. My life coaching philosophy centers on the individual, not where they are in their journey. Coaching Recovery works with individuals to help them see themselves, and then work toward where they want to be.
What if I haven’t quit driking or doing drugs yet?
That’s okay, but I find that Coaching Recovery life coaching is more successful for those who already have quit. If you have started your journey to recovery, even early on, your commitment will be stronger
What if I relapse while working with you?
Great question, and one I get all the time. Remember, I have my own journey of recovery. I see you and I understand you. We will address this scenario together so we know how to navigate it together. We will already have a plan in place in case we ever need it.
Is Coaching Recovery life coaching the same thing as counseling?
Life coaching is different from counseling in that it’s not therapy or sponsorship. We take a broader look at your life than counseling or sponsorship does. However, like counseling, the best way to approach life coaching is with honesty, open-mindedness, and willingness.
Is all of your life coaching 1:1?
Yes, especially at the beginning. Over time, we can discuss whether or not joining a group with others would be a good decision. Community can be a powerful tool on the road to recovery.
How do we get started?
Contact me for an initial meeting. On that call, we’ll start to get to know more about one another. I want to learn more about you, where you are on your journey, and get a basic understanding of what it is you are in recovery from. I can also share more about myself so we know this is a good fit.
Do you have referrals to others I could work with for services outside of life coaching?
Yes! I have referral partners that I have vetted and know are good people for you to work with if you need to add to your support system.
Who do I contact if I have further questions?
Contact me directly by email: Paul@CoachingRecovery.com or call (919) 446-1234.
